A Visit to Koreshan State Park : Wednesday, February 15, 2017
We toured a local state park just north of Coconut Point, where an unusual religious group believed that our world exists inside a large hollow sphere.
Location: 3800 Corkscrew Rd, Estero.
Cost: $4 for a car with one occupant, $5 for a car with multiple occupants. Plus $2 per person for the tour. Credit cards accepted from lunch attendees.

Regrettably, this event was canceled because wildfires closed Alligator Alley and prevented us from traveling to Miami Beach.

Rappaccini’s Daughter : Sunday, March 12, 2017
We saw a matinee performance of Rappaccini’s Daughter, by Mexican composer Daniel Catan and based on a short story by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

Baseball Game : Saturday, March 25, 2017
We watched a Boston Red Sox spring training game against the Philadelphia Phillies at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers, preceded by a picnic at the park.

A large group of Brown Club directors and members welcomed five local high school students who have been accepted by Brown and two who are on the wait list.
